  Khasanov Makhmut

  M. Khasanov was born on December 21, 1927 in the family of a peasant in the village Verkhniye Kibya-Kosy of Sanbinsky district of Tatarstan. In 1927 the family moved to Zelenodolsk. In the years of the Great Patriotic War he, having finished the industrial school, worked as a toolmaker.
  
  In 1944 M. Khusainov entered the Moscow State Institute of the theatre art. Having successfully graduated from the department of acting skill, he worked in the Kazan Young People's theatre in Kazan, then - in the G. Kamal's Tatar Academic theatre.
  
  At that time (1949-1951) he published his short stories and essays in newspapers and magazines. Later he gave up his job in the theatre and dedicated himself to journalism: he worked as a literature fellow on the newspaper 'Sovet Tatarstany' and as a correspondent for the Tatar radio.
  
  In 1952 the first M. Khasanov's book was issued. Soon the author wrote the stories 'The noise of forest' and 'The way of the courageous', which proved him to be one of the mature writers of Tatarstan.
  
  1955-1957 M. Khasanov attended 2-year Higher Literature Course in Moscow.
  
  In 1957-1980 he worked on the Pestretsy district newspaper, led the collective of the amateur art activities of Asnakayevo district Palace of culture, and consequently became the head of a department of the district local newspaper.
  
  Since 1980 M. Khasanov lived and worked on Zelenodolsk. The writer's novels 'Fresh winds', 'Roads, roads', the stories for children 'In the dinosaur's lair', 'Birds of passage' gained love and appreciation of their numerous readers.
  
  In 1988 M. Khasanov was given the G. Tukai's Government Prize of Tatarstan for the novel 'Spring dawn'
