Khabibullin Musagit
Musagit Mudarisovich Habibullin was born on December 25, 1927 in a peasant family in the village of Abdrachmanovo, Abdullinsky district of Orenburg region. In the years if the Great Patriotic War he combined his studies with the work for his native kolkhoz. In 1944 M. Khabibullin left for Chelyabinsk region, then he graduated from the industry school. In 1946-1953 he worked as a lath operator at metallurgical works, as a master in oilrig in Oktyabrsky in Bashkortostan. In 1958-1966 he lived and worked in the community of Bavly, worked on the district newspapers. In 1971 he finished correspondence department of the faculty of the Tatar language and literature of Kazan University. Since June 1927 M. Khabibullin has worked and lived in Kazan. His rich biography has given the writer wide material for his creativity: the reader meets a lot of people of different professions in M. Khabibullin's stories and novels. His first literary sketches appeared in 1950 in a district newspaper. In the beginning of 1960s his short stories were published in republic periodicals, in 1969 the novel 'The 18th spring' was published in the magazine 'Kazan Utlary'. M. Khabibullin has brought to literature new themes, new, born by the life itself, problems, new characters. Since 1980s M. Khabibullin has turned to theme of history. He has been interested in the past and the future of his people. Today he has written several historical novels. In 1996 M. Khabibullin was given Kul Gali's International Prize for the achievements in restoring of the ancient historical and cultural heritage of the Tatar nation. |
