The Kazan State N. Zhiganov`s Conservatory

History
Kazan state conservatory was opened in 1945. Today Kazan Conservatory is the leading musical educational establishment in the middle Volga region. In 1997 Kazan conservatory became the winner of the contest 'The window to Russia' in the nomination 'The best high school of arts in the Russian Federation'.
In 2001 Kazan State Conservatory received the name of its founder and the first rector, an outstanding Tatar composer, People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of government prizes of the USSR, Hero of Socialistic Labour, professor Nazib Zhiganov (1911-1988)
