  Fakhretdinov Rizaetdin

  The Tatar scientist, educator, writer, journalist and teacher. He was an expert in the Islamic doctrine and philosophy.
  
   R.Fakhretdinov was born on January 4, 1859 in Kichuchatovo village of Bugulminsky district of the Samara province (nowadays Almetyevsky area of the Tatarstan Republic) in mullah's family. From the childhood he copied ancient hand-written books, independently mastered the Arabian, Persian, Turkish, Russian languages. After training in madrasah, Rizaetdin worked as a teacher, then he became mullah.
  
  In 1981 R.Fakhretdinov was chosen the Kazy in the Spiritual management of Moslems in Ufa where he served as the adviser of mufti. During his work in the Spiritual management he put in order the archive of the management, systematized manuscripts, and also began to work on the biographic works. One of his most widespread works is the scientific-biographic encyclopedia 'Asar' (Traces). In its articles he wrote about the life and activity of known scientists and statesmen from the time of ancient Bulgar.
  
   After the revolution of 1905 R.Fakhretdinov was completely engaged in the creative activity. In 1906 he began to work in 'Vakyt' (Time) newspaper in Orenburg.
  
   The bright page of the biography of R.Fakhretdinov is his activity in magazine 'Shura' (Advice), he was the permanent editor from 1908 to 1918.
  
   In May of 1917 at the All-Russian Muslim congress in Moscow, R.Fakhretdinov's was the nominee on the post of Kazy in the Ufa Spiritual management of moslems. In 1922 R.Fakhretdinov was appointed the mufti, but he didn't leave his creative activity, he continued to work on manuscripts of the next sections of 'Asar'.
  
   In 1926 R.Fakhretdinov leaded ecclesiastics from various regions of the USSR and participated in the World Islamic congress in Mecca and was selected the vice-president. He visited the king of Saudi Arabia.
  
   R.Fakhretdinov died on April 12, 1926 and was buried on the Tatar cemetery.
