Nikitin Vladimir
Vladimir Stepanovich Nikitin was born in 1900 in Saratov. He graduated from the Saratov Bogolubovskoye art school. In 1918 he studied in the Higher Art Studios of the Moscow. He worked in Drama theatres of Rostov, Krasnodar, Saratov, Astrakhan.
Since 1937 he worked as the artist in chief in the Kachalov's Kazan State Big Drama Theatre. For about three decades he worked in the theatre as an artist in chief. It was always his aim to penetrate into the essence of the play, to be one of the creators of the production group of the performance, to help actors feel the epoch. Working for realistic scenery, the artist convinced the audience of reliability of the events happening on the stage.
Mounted by the artist performances 'Inspector', 'Insidiousness and love' constitute the golden fund of the Kachalov's theatre.
V.S. Nikitin was a prominent expert on Russian architecture and everyday life, as well as on theatre equipment. Thus he was able to use different theatre effects, expressive illusiveness. |
