The Republic Tatar Music School
The Republic Tatar Music School, founded by the Ministry of Culture was established in February 1991. There are 9 forms in each of 6 departments: piano, string instruments, played by plucking (domra, mandolin, guitar), the department of folk instruments (bayan, accordion, concertina), the department of Sring instruments (violin, cello), the department of wind instruments (flute, clarinet, kurai, sornai), the department of general piano.
The main aim of the school is educational and cultural upbringing of talented children, their joining to the achievements of the world music culture, introduction of new, deepened programs on studying national Tatar and Eastern culture and art, teaching and training national specialist, studying and reviving playing the ancient musical instruments; in future - opening a department of folk dance, children's Tatar theatre.
There is a subject called 'Eastern and West-European ethics', which is supposed to teach children of 1-5 forms the norms and rules of behavior in public, at home and at school. A candidate of Fine Arts Sergeyeva Tatiana Sergeyevna has worked out a program 'Musical traditions of the East' and now she is teaching the subject, based on the program, which allows learning in interesting and fascinating form the culture of different eastern countries and nations.
Year after year the festival of piano music of Tatar composers 'Enjelyar', adequately respected by teachers as well as by pupils of children's music schools of Kazan and the Republic, is held at the school. A unique children's folk ensemble 'Kubelyak'(the leader - Honoured worker of Arts of the RT Khabibullin Sagit Mullanurovich) is established at the school. As its predecessor, ensemble 'Kurai', 'Kubelyak' plays folk music, it is a laureate of the Republic contests. In May 2001 'Kubelyak' received a diploma of the First Festival of pupils of music schools and schools of arts of Moscow region 'Musical art of Tatar people - to the Moscow region.
'The school pays a lot of attention to widening and strengthening cultural and creative connections with diasporas of the RF and the CIS. Thus, on the invitation of the Tatar public center of Mari El the creative trip to Yoshkar-Ola took place, and on the invitation of the International Fund of development of the Tatar-Bashkir heritage 'Chishme' of the republic Belarus the trip to Minsk took place. In future, the school is planning to collaborate with Tatar diasporas of the near regions of the RF, as well as of foreign countries.

The Republic Tatar music school is the first Tatar music school in the Republic. School programs and some subjects are unique and taught only in this school. Together with general education, great attention is paid to deep learning of native musical culture and arts in the context of the world civilizations.

Turkey: Turkic Cultural Fund in Istanbul (participation in children's festivals; exchange of the experience between teachers; language studying).
