  Sh. Kamal`s Museum-apartment

  From the museum's history
  
  The museum was founded in 1944. It was opened in January 1950. Since 1944, the museum has been a branch of the SAM RT The museum's type is literary-memorial.
  
  Sharif Kamal (Baishildee) (1884 - 1942) was a Tatar outstanding writer who was recognized as a classic of Tatar Soviet literature. In addition to his literary activity, Sh. Kamal was a public figure.
  
  The museum occupies a part of a former merchant's private residence of the end of XIX - the beginning of XX centuries, in which the memorial apartment is situated on the area of 60 sq. m. The total area of the museum is 155,7 sq. m.The museum includes the Memorial apartment and the Showroom-auditorium.
  
  The brief description of the collection's unique part
  
  The museum's funds consist of more than 1000 units of storage. The funds take their origin from Sh. Kamal's memorial collection that the writer's daughter Z.S. Baygildeyeva granted to the museum.
  
  The especially valuable (unique) part of the funds include:
  
  Collected verses "Sale" by Sh. Kamal ("Golos" Publishing house), St. Petersburg, 1906;
  
  An issue of newspaper "Nur", 1906, in which Sh. Kamal published his article on education;
  
  A clock that Sh. Kamal bought;The writer's small desk that he brought when he was moving from Orenburg to Kazan;
  
  Sh. Kamal's portrait painted by artist H. Yakupov;
  
  The grand piano that Sh. Kamal bought for his daughter in 1938. S.Sajdashev and other Tatar composers played it;
  
  The bookcase containing the writer's personal library.
  
  The director of the museum is Aimetov Ramis Kiyamovich
