Kanev Eugeny
Kanev Eugeny Porfiriyevich was born in 1950. In 1969 he graduated from theatre department of the Kazan Art School, worked in the theatre, advertisement. Since 1974 he has been working in M. Gorky's film studio. He participated in production of more than 20 films as a painter, decorator, artist of trick shootings, art-director.
Following classical traditions of Russian realistic school of painting is characteristic for his style. Nature is animated in his pictures and it creates an effect as if there were some plot in a landscape.
Several motifs are merged together in his pictures, producing amazing harmony, which is found in landscapes of middle Russia, producing some kind of melancholy in the souls of spectators. Lyrical, a little sad painter's mood coincides amazingly with the subject of native nature, chosen by him. Kanev has participated in many region, district and republic exhibitions. In 1996 his personal exhibition took place in the Gorky's museum in Kazan. |
