The prime minister of Tatarstan Republic
He was born on March 1, 1957 in the village of New Arysh of Rybnoslobodsky
district of Tatar ASSR. He has two higher educations: technical (the Kazan
agricultural institute) and economic (In absentia institute of the Soviet
trade).
He began his labour activity in 1978 as an engineer of Saby regional
association "Agricultural machinery". Then he worked in this area as a
senior engineer and main power engineer of timber industry enterprise,
then - vice-president of board of regional consumers society.
In 1985-1993 he worked in Arsky district: as chairman of board of regional
consumers society, the chairman of executive committee of regional council
of People's Deputies, the first assistant to the head of administration of
the district.
In 1993 he was appointed the head of administration of Vysokogorsky
district.
In December, 1996 he was appointed Minister of Finance of Tatarstan.
In July, 1998 at the session of the State Council he was authorized in the
rank of the prime minister of the Republic. |
