Gilazov Rashid
Gilazov Rashid is a painter, but he is also engaged with monumental-decorative art: mural painting, stained-glass windows, mosaics in the Houses of Culture of Tatarstan, decoration mosque interiors (Bavly and Antya).
The graduate of the Repin's institute (today the Petersburg Academy of Art) of 1981, the studio of the outstanding artist E.E. Moiseyenko. Gilazov continues and develops the teachers' traditions, creating realistic works, marked with pathos of civic consciousness, at the same time transforming the reality, filling the images with vivid feeling of life ('Leningrad's landscape' 79, 'the KAMAZ builders'81, 'Self-portrait'83, 'Still live with roses', 'the Fisherman', 'Builders' 85, 'First snow' 86, 'Gabdulla Tukai', 'Bavly', 'Kasis'93 and others)
Rashid Gilazov's personal exhibition, organized in 1995 in St.Petersburg, became the result of his 25-year creative activity. It was a proof of the artist's maturity, his distinctive in individual way in art, his ability to see, feel and think independently. In his best works - ' Self-portrait', 'Self-portrait with the nude model' (both - of 1983), 'The wife's portrait' and 'Inna's portrait'(1983-1985) and others, the artist expresses his own world perception, as if expressing himself. |
