Zhiganov Nazib
Zhiganov Nazib Gayazovich was born on January, 2, 1911 in Uralsk city. In 1938 graduated from The Moscow Conservatory. A young musician of folk origin becomes a student of The Moscow Conservatory. Even in the years of his study Zhiganov aspired to create a style unity of ethnography and classics in his pieces of works. His central direction of the activity turned out to be an opera because there were more opportunities to express a national theme. In all times Nazib took a great interest in Tatar poetry, literature and national creativity and it were reflected in his unforgettable works. A "Dzhalil" opera is a musical tragedy devoted to a poet and to a close friend and a co-author. Since 1945 Nazib Gayazovich is a teacher and a rector of The Kazan Conservatory. The works of Zhiganov are devoted to historical and heroic themes; he created the first Tatar operas on modern themes. He is the author of 8 operas, 3 ballets, 3 symphonies etc. Among his best works are operas "Kachkyn" ("A Fugitive", 1939), "Altynchech" ("A golden-haired girl", 1941), a suite on tatar themes (1949), a poem "Nafisa" (1952), the 2-nd symphony "Sabantuy" (1968) |
