Abzhalilov Khalil
Abzhalilov Khalil Galeevich
Tatar Soviet Actor
He was born in the family of a carpenter. He studied in the madrasah not for long though. When his family moved to Orenburg, he worked in a shop. When the First World War began he went to army. Khalil was wounded and returned to Orenburg. Then he began to play some small roles in the dramatic trouppe "Shirkat". In 1919 Orenburg was captured by White Guard and Abzhalilov moved to the Middle Asia. In Bukhara he created a trouppe, staged some performances, and for the first time acted in a movie.
From autumn of 1928 till March of 1963 he was artist of the Tatar Academical Theatre n.a. G.Kamal. He played hundreds of roles here.
The honoured artist of TASSR (1939), national artist of TASSR (1944), honoured artist of RSFSR (1940), national artist of RSFSR (1950).
